World Art Dubai 2025:
A Dazzling Kaleidoscope of Global Creativity

From April 17th to 20th, 2025, World Art Dubai (WAD) once again transformed the Dubai World Trade Centre into a vibrant canvas of global artistic expression. With over 10,000 pieces on display and 400+ participating galleries and artists from more than 65 countries, the 11th edition of this dynamic fair proved to be an extraordinary celebration of art in all its forms.
The much-anticipated VIP preview on April 16th offered an exclusive first look into the eclectic offerings of WAD 2025. From emerging talent to established names, from fashion-art disruptors to fine art masters, the event was a delightful immersion into the diverse and ever-evolving world of contemporary art. The curatorial vision of Batool Jafri, Samar Kamel, and Gottfried Eisenberger—guided by Art Advisor Petra Kaltenbach—ensured a rich, inclusive, and compelling experience.

The fair buzzed with creative energy as visitors engaged directly with artists, exchanging ideas and inspiration. It was a joy to meet and interact with talent from across the globe—Syrian artist Alia Alkhalfah, Ecuadorian painter Ernesto Gualle, Iranian visual storyteller Neda Askari, Armenian abstract artist Margarita Ivanova, and the truly unique Ceci Brook, who crafts detailed portraits on Persian carpets.

Indian art was particularly well represented. Cubist visionary Bharati Shah drew eyes with her geometric precision, while Chandralekha Dubey mesmerised visitors with intricate dot mandalas. Mahesh Sharma seamlessly merged traditional canvases with upcycled furniture. Masarratfatima impressed with her delicate papercut designs, while Anu Singh's mandalas exuded spiritual resonance. Harmeet Singh’s Purple Rain (acrylics on canvas) was widely acclaimed for its emotive depth, and Seema Gupta’s traditional Pichwai art attracted collectors and curious onlookers alike.

But WAD 2025 was more than just an art exhibition—it was a cultural festival. Live painting sessions allowed audiences to witness the magic of creation in real time. Children revelled in the Mural Corners, adding splashes of their imagination to collaborative pieces. Hands-on workshops offered immersive experiences in pottery, calligraphy, zentangle, and more.
On the WAD stage, thought-provoking panel discussions brought together curators, artists, and technologists to explore critical themes like the Impact of AI on Art and Artists. One of the standout moments of this year's edition was the Art Walk—an innovative fusion of fashion and fine art where artists strutted the ramp, proudly carrying their chosen artworks, blurring the lines between creator and creation.

World Art Dubai 2025 wasn’t just an art fair—it was a celebration of humanity’s boundless imagination, a space where cultures met, ideas bloomed, and creativity knew no borders. As the curtains closed on this spectacular edition, one thing was clear—WAD continues to cement its place as the UAE’s most inclusive, accessible, and inspiring art event.
