When the Ocean Remembered Me
By Leena Fernandes
The sea knew my name today,
it called me in whispers of foam and breeze.
I let the waves kiss my feet,
and for a while, I belonged nowhere, yet everywhere.
The wind played with my hair like an old friend,
the sun wrapped me in a quiet warmth,
and the horizon stretched wide
as if reminding me how limitless I can be.
I laughed with the tides,
left my worries buried in the sand,
and walked away lighter
carrying only the rhythm of the ocean within me.
