It too Shall Pass
By Riya Panghal

In the process to heal

I long damages

Recovering from rains

It floods one day

The arranged gets ruined

The merries are mourned

Waves persist

Hopes resist

“it too shall pass” they say

I pat the grave to dead

Maybe’s held high

Eternal grief promises to stay

“It too shall pass” they say

The spaces refuse to fill

The glass of evening elixir

Aint enough to escape

What I didn’t forget made me ill

Cold feet

Faint nerves

Still heart

Leaned into remembering

I passed

And “it too shall pass”
