The Grudge. To use grayscale and a formal layout to express a "grudge" seemed appropriate. Grudges lose their color and origin over time, but not their inflexibility and force. Grudges are either dead alive things or alive dead things, neither of which help one to get on with life.

Toy Soldiers on the Battlefield of Childhood. Though we might like to say and see childhood as a time of innocence, it has never been so. Children see what is going on around them, experience directly or vicariously the world as it is , was, or could be. They make tactical decisions, develop battle and survival strategies, and hopefully keep marching on.

Lovesick Blues. One can feel they are surrounded by hearts and chirping birdsong and the whole world is alive and stretching outwards from from them, but it can be a bit too much which makes one feel it is maybe not quite real and not quite enough, so it leaves a nagging feeling that one has stepped into a shadow.

Thought Rolling Around. It does seem that thoughts do roll around or bounce around a head until they find a place to settle or calm down a bit. This is a good thing maybe, since crowded or misplaced thoughts can usually cause a variety of problems.
