Queen
By Sujanadevi Namani

It is in this recess,
In my own niche, in my house,
It is here my thoughts take birth,
Make me queen of this anonymous,
Baseless, limitless, futureless province!
In the cookery to quench their ravenousness
All my deliberations, contemplations and cerebrations
Disintegrate into horizons of hurriedness!
The undulating waves of creativity,
The pulsating flashes of fantasy,
Wash away in the tempest of necessity!
Unwritten poetry, wordless imagery,
Leaving emptiness of dusky oblivity!
Wild inspired inventions of daydreaming,
Dissolve into the boiling spicy pudding!
Flocks of cloudy, hazy, winged similes,
Fly away with whipping of creams n soups!
The curry on the stove, calls me to care,
The fry on the pan, beckons me to scan,
The whistle of the cooker, makes me bother,
The timer bell of microwave, urges to serve!
The bonds of love, I love, are my bondage,
For life to serve everyone, make me hostage,
To the kitchen eternally,
To remain here forever finally!
Hence, ultimately decided I to harness,
Every musing, every reverie, romance.
Determined I now to hold on,
To the tiny droplets poetic vision.
Now shall I find my time,
To gather my world of words in rhyme,
That crown me into a Princess,
In my own recess,
My kitchen!
