When Nightmares are Kinder than dreams
By Vidya Hariharan
Embryonic failures,
Passion crisis,
Looking upwards
At role models
Falling flat, stumbling
Is fine, as long as you
Shake it like a dog
Pestered by fleas
Of ambition,
Causing fitful slumber
Pills beyond number
Somnolence, a rest
Look- alike, never
the real thing.
Monsters under the bed
Are most welcome,
As long as
They cause
Ordinary nightmares,
And drive away
importunate dreams
