The Wise Owl Events

The Wise Owl Ides of March Poetry Readings held on 18th March 2023 to celebrate poetry

21st March is the World Poetry Day. The Wise Owl hosted an Ides of March Poetry Reading session on 18th March 2023 to celebrate poetry through the ages, where poets were invited to read poems on the theme of ides of March & their interpretation of it. The poems were featured in the Aqua & Gold Edition of The Wise Owl. A recording of the entire session is also available on our YouTube Channel. The Wise Owl Team also put together a Chapbook titled 'The Wise Owl Ides of March Poetry Readings' which featured poems of the poets who participated in the event. The digital edition of the Chapbook is available for download in our Publications segment. 

The Wise Owl Haiku Renditions held on 20th March 2023

 

As a part of The Wise Owl Anniversary celebrations, we hosted The Wise Owl Haiku Renditions on 20th January 2023.  We had an impressive  line up of haiku poets from across the globe. The event was hosted by Neena Singh, a haiku poet and Guest Editor, The Wise Owl.   A recording of the entire session is available on our YouTube Channel.

The Wise Owl Gift of the Gab Articulations held on 10th December 2022

As a part of The Wise Owl Anniversary celebrations, we hosted The Wise Owl Gift of the Gab Articulations on 10th December 2022. We had an interesting line up of writers.  The writings  touched upon holocaust, response of literature to genocide, the ills of slavery, commercialization of sites that have been witness to man's brutality, humorous anecdotes and vignettes and the necessity of wearing a frown.  A recording of the entire session is available on our YouTube Channel.

The Wise Owl Poetry Readings held on 19th November 2022

As a part of The Wise Owl Anniversary celebrations, we hosted The Wise Owl Virtual Poetry Readings on 19th November 2022. We had a great line-up of poets from across the globe; Sukrita Paul Kumar, Daun Wright, Pragya Bajpai, Rupa Anand, Stephen Page, Santosh Bakaya and Jennifer MacBain-Stephens. The event was hosted by Dr Rachna Singh, Principal Editor & Curator of The Wise Owl. A recording of the entire session is available on our YouTube Channel.
