Self Portrait
By Srijani Dutta
I am dissolving
Yet, I am not a shadow.
I am not formless,
I have my shape, a little figure,
I coil, I tangle, and I crawl on the floor,
On my bed,
But, I am not a smoke
That is rising upwards,
Or melting like clouds.
Zero is a number
And silence itself is a sound,
This is not a blank diary
But, we fail to see the words.
I will go away
But, my feeble footsteps will speak,
On behalf of me.
Believe me, this is 'me',
This is real 'me',
This is Srijani.
