Poem
By Alexander Limarev
In the depths of chromosomal waters,
Where genetic fish frolic,
The hidden threads of life intertwine,
Like vines on an ancient tapestry.
Nitrogen bases are the architects of DNA,
The tools of memory, the code,
Passed down through the depths of time,
Like runes, a legacy passed on in whispers.
Free verse, no rhyme, no rhythm,
Just a stream of RNA encoding heritage,
Words strung together by amino acids,
In every cell, the continuation of life.

Alexander Limarev finds it interesting to describe biological processes using poetic language; to try out fantastic, surrealistic genre techniques instead of highly specialized ones, fully understood only by geneticists.
