A Tapestry Undone
By Parminder Singh
In years we built a dreamy castle, so strong and true,
With time and trust, we wove a tender thread.
Each whispered word, each glance, each shared adieu,
A tapestry of dreams where hearts had bled.
Through seasons bright and shadows dark, we grew,
Two hearts as one, a single, steady flame.
Yet hidden thoughts within your heart you knew,
A silent storm, a shifting, secret blame.
With swift and sudden force, you turned away,
A moment's choice to shun what took so long.
No hint of doubt, no sign to guide my stay,
No word to tell where love had gone so wrong.
Now lost, I wander through this endless night,
Our years undone by shadows in your sight.
